Back in 2017, Bill Landis began engaging with several veteran organizations in the Lancaster area in an effort to help them transition from military life to civilian life. He quickly learned that veterans often had trouble finding post-service employment, in part because finding employers who understood their unique situation was a challenge. He realized that rebranding his company and providing work conducive to the style of these highly skilled, highly motivated vets is what was needed to encourage them to be the redeemers of their own life situations.
Bill’s existing lawn care
company was rapidly growing and dominating the market in Chester and Bucks Counties. Now over two decades later, Our company provides lawn care in five counties as it continues to grow.
Today, Operation Green Lawn
gives meaningful employment for veterans while providing superior lawn care service to Lancaster, Lebanon, Chester, Bucks and Berks Counties. We are committed to creating an environment that fosters camaraderie on our team and that welcomes our local veterans in with open arms.
Bill Landis- Owner
Bill founded Operation Green Lawn in 2017 and has a long track record of sustained success in the lawn care industry, having previously dominated the market in Chester and Bucks Counties. Bill brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team with over 20 years in the lawn care industry and as a business owner and is always willing to step in the trenches and get his hands dirty along side his employees. While he is not a veteran himself, he is the one responsible for this company being founded and the creation of the opportunities OGL has for veterans today.
Alex Pugh- General Manager
Alex began with OGL in 2019, first as a part time sales associate and later as the primary lawn care technician for the 2019 season. He currently serves as OGLs General Manager and is involved in every part of the day to day operation of the company. He brings an unparalleled work ethic and steady leadership to the team and is always ready to go the extra mile to ensure our customers satisfaction. Alex is an Army veteran, having joined in 2011 as an Engineer and is currently in the Army Reserve as a Military Police Officer.
Chris Leary- Sales Manager
Chris began with OGL in 2019, first as a part time sales associate and later growing into the role of Office Manager and later, Sales Manager. He brings a wealth of experience to the sales room and is a capable and steady leader, often setting the tone with his work ethic and consistency. Chris is one of the voices you may hear when you give us a call, and he is dedicated to giving our customers the best experience possible with us. Chris is an Army veteran, having served from 1976-84 as an Administrative Specialist.
Mike Seese- Sales Associate
Mike began with OGL in 2020 as a member of our sales team. He’s a versatile team player, always up for the challenge of taking on new roles within the company and helping the team grow. Mike is an Army Veteran, having served from 1994-98 as a Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Warfare Specialist.
Nate Deveux- Sales Associate
Nate began with OGL in 2020 as a member of our sales crew. He brings a consistent positive attitude and tireless work ethic to the team that often rubs off on the guys around him. Nate is one of the voices you’ll hear when you call us, and he’ll be happy to help you with your lawn care needs. Nate is an Army veteran, having served from 1996-97 as a Heavy Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic.
